I wanted to thank you for speaking at our National Sales Meeting last week in Denver, CO. We have had numerous speakers over the years at our National Sales Meeting and you were absolutely the best speaker that we have had at any of our events.
Your ability to weave your personal experiences with the key themes we requested into your speech was a huge hit! Your knowledge and personal experiences about overcoming adversity, playing to win, open and honest communication, and how to hold your teammates accountable were themes that all of our employees were able to take to heart. Your humorous approach to these issues was thought provoking, but most importantly - humorous!
Many attendees commented the next day, "Bring Karl back - he is terrific!"
In addition, staying after the meeting to autograph your book and making the time to have your picture taken with our employees was a highlight of our three day meeting.
I would recommend you to any professional organization or society. We look forward to having you back at one of our meetings in the future! Thank you again.
Sincerely, Tommy Knappich, Director of Sales, Johns Manville - Berkshire Hathaway
RE: Williams Piceane Basin Asset Team
Dear Corporate Leaders,
Recently we invited Karl Mecklenburg to speak to our Piceane Basin asset team which is a fairly diverse group of engineers, geologists, technicians, and administrative support. We asked Karl to focus on leadership, teamwork, and inspiring us as individuals and as a team to continue to push ourselves to be the very best. From the moment he began speaking and describing events in his own life he was able to connect in some way with everyone in the audience. His anecdotal stories, especially during his professional football years, kept everyone entertained as well. I received tremendous positive feedback for many days following the event, and know we are a better team after listening to Karl.
I highly recommend Karl as a motivational speaker for companies, functional groups, or anyone aspiring to achieve greater success in their endeavors.
Sincerely, Alan C. Harrison Vice President, Denver Region/Piceance Basin
RE: Long Building Technologies
To whom it may concern:
Several years ago I had the opportunity to be present at a luncheon, leadership and personal performance seminar that was given by Karl Mecklenburg for the Associated General contractors of Colorado. Karl was excellent. I thought about hiring him to do a similar event for our company (LONG Building Technologies) but timing and other issues contrived to make it impossible to work out. On June 22, 2011 we had scheduled a Grand Opening Celebration for our new facility. I reached out to Karl and made arrangements for him to be a guest speaker for our employees at a luncheon before the Grand Opening Celebration.
Karl was a consummate professional in preparing for this event. He came out to our facility and spent an hour or more discussing my objectives with his performance seminar. He toured our facility and exchanged pleasantries with people we met along the way while learning about our culture, business and customers.
On the day of the event Karl was spectacular. It is obvious that he is a very gifted speaker. Karl took his message of teamwork, cooperation and dedication and applied it to our business, our industry and our people. It was a very powerful message that resonated with my entire team. Two months later, I still get comments about his insights and effective methods in demonstrating the benefits of true leadership at all levels of an organization.
If you are considering hiring a featured speaker to inspire, educate and motivate your employees or customers I would highly recommend Karl Mecklenburg as the choice for your event.

RE: Coca-Cola sales and leadership meetings
Corporate Leaders,
Coca-Cola North America brought Karl Mecklenburg in to kick off our new promotion tied to the Broncos 50th anniversary and had him speak to our Colorado sales teams. I asked him to focus his presentation on change, taking advantage of opportunity, and winning. His customized talk hit all the points we had asked him to stress, was well organized, and professionally presented. Karl's story telling style was a great break from the necessary power point number crunching that goes on at sales meetings, and let our people know how serious we are about this campaign.
We were so impressed with his presentation that we asked him to speak to our regional leaders at a planning session that we had scheduled. Coca-Cola has recently changed its regional management structure. I asked him to focus on change, honest communication, and leadership. Once again his tailored presentation was spot on to what we were looking for, and focused our team as we went into this critical long term planning.
Both presentations were interesting, humorous, and very motivational. I also appreciate that Karl was very approachable and took the time to shake hands, sign autographs, and speak one on one with team members before and after each presentation. I highly recommend Karl Mecklenburg as a sales and leadership speaker.

RE: Newmont Mining Global IT Summit
Dear Karl,
I just wanted to thank you for your time and effort last week as the "keynote speaker" for our Global IT Summit. This was the first time that I have been able to bring together my global management team from across the globe, and was anxious to provide this international team with some real life examples of good old "American Teamwork". My intent was to use this example and relate it to the business focused teamwork we were attempting to institute across our global organization.
The time you spent with them far exceeded what I was attempting to do. The immediate credibility you provided captured everyone's attention simply based on the fact that they were meeting a professional athlete. Once that attention was focused, each and every one of the stories you told hit home with the people in the room and with your help, they were able to relate your experiences to the efforts they were making within their own organizations. The rest of the week, each and every day we pulled out pieces of your discussion as examples of things we needed to focus on in order to be a successful team.
Your discussion was entertaining, relevant and exactly what I was looking for.
I appreciate your time, and would recommend tour motivational discussions for just about any type of business organization that is looking to create a team approach to their work, and needs to understand the real value of working together to be successful.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Rob Grant, Director of Global Technology Newmont Mining
RE: Five-State Bankers Conference
Dear Karl:
On behalf of the Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico and Wyoming Bankers Associations, I would like to extend our sincere appreciation for your closing presentation at our 2009 Five-State Bankers Conference at the Grand Hyatt in Denver.
Your inspiring and entertaining presentation was a fitting end to our program. Your “Six Keys to Success” are points that will benefit all who attended, and the feedback we received from our attendees was nothing but positive – the amount of people who wanted to speak with you at our evening reception was a testament to that. We thank you for sticking around to meet our attendees!
You were motivating to all, and your ability to weave your life stories into your presentation made it all the more appealing. We enjoyed working with you. Good luck in the future!
Respectfully, THE COLORADO BANKERS ASSOCIATION
Don A. Childears, CBA President/CEO
RE: Centerra Wine Company National Sales & Marketing Meeting
Thank you so much for the terrific speech given at the Centerra Wine Company Sales & Marketing Meeting on June 26th of this year in Denver. The talk was exactly what I had in mind as the meeting planner and was received even better by our audience. I'd like to share some quotes about your presentation from the post meeting survey of our sales people:
"I thought he said what the team needed to hear: he came from way behind and still won a SuperBowl. Centerra is the underdog, but we will make or beat our numbers!" "Very motivational - love the tie in with sports. He certainly knew our business model and was a fantastic speaker." "Great Speaker, entertaining. The perfect amount of time" "I enjoyed Karl Mecklenburg very much. Motivational? Positively." "Yes, very down to earth and able to convert some of his comments to my own universe to improve myself."
I echo all the comments above and like to add what a pleasure you are to deal with. I've briefed many a guest speaker on the background of our company, the purpose of our meeting and I've had none that wove what was important to the audience and communicating our message as thoroughly as you did!
It was clearly demonstrated that you took the time to do your research about our organization and took the time to prepare your presentation. It was refreshing to hear such a customized and targeted talk.
I'd also like to thank you for the generosity of your time to personally greet over 100 meeting attendees after the presentation, sign photos, and be genuinely interested in our people. Thank you. Karl, please know that if I ever can be of assistance to you, feel free to reach out to me at any time.
Thank you again and sincerely, Matthew P. Healy Promotions Director
RE: Colorado Safety Association Annual Conference
To whom it may concern:
Karl Mecklenburg gave the keynote address for our 2009 annual conference and was a big hit with our group. The Colorado Safety Association is a diverse group with members from across government, education, and corporate Colorado. Karl's customized presentation applied to each member's situation with take home advice and "me too" moments for all. His presence on our agenda helped with attendance. He was funny, well organized, easy to work with, prompt, and took the extra time to speak personally with, and sign autographs for our attendees.
I highly recommend Karl Mecklenburg as a keynote speaker for your association.
Melodye A. Turek President Colorado Safety Association
RE: Colorado Association of Mechanical and Plumbing Contractors
Dear Karl:
Thank you again for speaking at our convention in Beaver Creek. Your presentation was excellent. Your presentation to our members could not have been more timely. I was especially appreciative of how you were able to cutomize your presentation to our industry. We hire many professional speakers each year and the customization of your presentation to our industry was a nice touch. I believe this made the presentation more meaningful for our attendees, and drove your points home with our group. I also appreciated your insight and comments pertaining to labor / management relationships and how you were able to incorporate them into your presentation.
That said, I will be sending a note to our national associations and my peers within the industry recounting for them the great presentation you made. As shared above each of our associations hire many speakers, nationally and locally, and I would put you at the top of the list. It was a pleasure working with you, and I look forward to doing so again.
Sincerely, Dave Davia Executive Director
RE: Governor's Conference of Tourism
I can't tell you how many inspirational speakers we have worked with at our facilities in my experience here in Grand Junction.
We have had Depak Chopra, Mark Canfield, Aaron Ralston, as well as my experience with Country/Rock Jam Concerts with some of the best of the business that I have personally assisted in their visits including Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, and ZZ Top.I have worked with politician organizers such as Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and sports stars such as Rosie Greer, Tommy Lasorda, Larry Czonka, Reggie Jackson and many many many more.
I tell you this only because of how impressed I was with your message and your presentation. In my line of business, we get to see, meet and hear some of the greatest in the world, even in little ole Grand Junction, but I have to say that your message I have since carried to my kids, my co-workers and even re-discussion with those that had attended the Beaver Creek Governor's Conference.I want you to know how impressed I was with you.Your approachability was amazing.Although I did not personally come up and talk to you, I watched how you were with others.
I am so pleased to have this opportunity to tell you thank you and thanks for the message your carry.Kudos to you for the work you do and best wishes in your future.
I certainly will keep you in mind in the event we have the opportunity to have you at Two Rivers Convention Center or the Avalon Theatre to continue to share your message.

We have received very favorable feedback from our leadership team on your presentation. In particular, we were impressed with your ability to translate the positive messages and lessons learned from professional sports into the language of healthcare. RE: Roper St Francis Healthcare Leadership Development Institute
Dear Karl,
Thank you for the excellent presentation you gave to our Leadership Development Institute in April 2008. We had over 150 of the top health care leaders in our health system in attendance and we are in agreement that your presentation was inspirational, humorous and extremely entertaining. I was so impressed that you were able to weave your own life experiences into your speech in a way that everyone could relate to in a personal way. We have each speaker and segment of our institute program evaluated by the attendees and I am pleased to say that you recieved one of the highest rankings that we have experienced!
It was a real pleasure to meet you and watch you interact with the participants. Each of them felt as though you were talking directly to them. Thank you for sharing your experiences and words of wisdom with us. We extend our best wishes to you as you enter this next phase of your career.

RE: Southern Colorado HSMAI Monthly Meeting
Dear Karl,
Thank you so much for a terrific presentation on your "Six Keys to Success" at our February luncheon event! Not only was your program funny, inspirational, and insightful, you were so generous to help us with a terrific signed jersey drawing and to stick around for Orange Crush autograph signing afterwards. Our audience really loved your presentation, so much so that a number of our evaluations featured a 5+ rating for "this month's guest speaker" -and the form only goes up to five! You were definately a big hit. I would highly recommend other organizations to invite you to be their guest motivational speaker, and will be sure to pass this information along. The pairing of good entertaining stories with real-life, applicable success skills makes for a program accessible to just about any audience - corporate, non-profit, academic, or social.
I have heard motivational speakers in the past and have never really been drawn into them. However, I loved your presentation! You used real life examples and I thought you hit on enough points where I could actually remember them and apply them into my life! With other motivational speakers, they hit on so many points that it is overwhelming. I will definitely recommend you to anyone that may be looking for a speaker!
Thank you, Karl!
Kind regards,
Kasia

RE: Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico
Dear Karl,
At noon on June 29th, 2011, you treated 125 enthusiastic Denver Bronco fans in the city of Albuquerque to a compelling presentation that included insider Denver Bronco Stories, humorous anecdotes and inspiring lessons for life. Karl, your presentation not only launched our Brown Bag with a Bronco speaker series benefitting the Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico, but you also set a high bar for future speakers.
Some of the comments I received about your presentation included, "I couldn't believe how sincere and genuine he was, greeting people as they entered the room" and "His message was well thought through, well organized and persuasive."
Thank you for your professionalism and for localizing your message to fit the vision for Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico. As you know, I am branding Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico with the Brown Bag with a Bronco speaker series and could not have chosen a better speaker to launch the series than you. As a result, the community of Albuquerque is beginning to recognize the importance of our work and support it with major contributions.
Your message is compelling. Thank you for an uplifting and meaningful presentation.

RE: AWARE Alzheimer's research fundraising Luncheon
Dear Karl.
I want to thank you for speaking on November 6, 2008 for the AWARE, "Memories Lost and Found" luncheon. As a motivational speaker you were able to motivate the four hundred plus crowd to donate much needed funds for Alzheimer's prevention research. You did your research and tied the subject into your facinating personal life story. I will never forget holding your Super Bowl ring.
Your presence was a huge addition to our luncheon and I would wholeheartedly recommend you as a speaker for any nonprofit organization. You have obviously had a great deal of experience as a professional speaker. Your poise and connection with the audience is apparent. Thanks again, for coming to speak at our event you helped make it successful.
Sincerely yours, Debi Tepper AWARE President 2008
RE: AWHONN Leadership Conference
Dear Karl,
I wanted to thank you so much for speaking at our AWHONN 2008 Leadership Conference here in Washington D.C. We had over 300 AWHONN nurse leaders from across the country attend the conference.
The nurse leaders attending the conference thought your comments were inspirational. They related to your stories of the birth of your children, what it takes to raise children and how your many stories about football actually relate to day to day activities of the members as nurses and women. I appreciated your speaking with me about the association, our mission and goals and being able to tailor the presentation to our group. The Leadership Conference was extremely successful and much of that was due to your presentation. We appreciate the time and energy you put into making the presentation relevant to our group.
Thank you again Karl for an outstanding presentation.
Sincerely, Barbara Moran, PhD, CNM President 2008

RE: Potomic Chapter Meeting Professionals International MACE! Conference
Dear Karl,
Thank you so much for your Keynote Address at the MACE! Conference yesterday. Your presentation was dead on! I often find myself at many professional programs where the keynote doesn’t apply to or affect me but your program was quite the opposite. For me it couldn’t have come at a better time both personally and professionally. You said that we should apply all six key areas to both those areas (personal and professional) in our life and we will have success. I believe that to be 150% true. Thank you for reminding me to keep staying on the path that I have already begun. I truly hope to see you at future events and know that I’ll spread the word!

Just a note to let you know how much we appreciated your luncheon presentation at the Annual Conference of the Special District Association. You were clearly a big hit with everyone in the audience.
Your "Six Keys to Success" were right on target. You provided an upbeat and positive message, sprinkled with many wonderful stories and experiences from your days with the Broncos. In addition to being an excellent speaker, it was easy to see why you are such an icon in Colorado. I think you made a lot of new fans at our meeting.

To whom it may concern:
It is my great pleasure to highly recommend Karl Mecklenburg as a speaker for any association event.
Karl presented his Six Keys to Success at our Annual Awards Banquet on October 20, 2007 at the Doubletree Denver Hotel. Not only was his speech inspiring, motivating, touching, and funny, he attended our reception to sign autographs and have photos taken AND stayed after the event for more of the same!
Using stories from his days in the NFL and his experience as a father, Karl weaves a colorful and entertaining tapestry of what it means to play as a team and succeed as a individual.
Please let me know if I can provide more information on Karl's expertise as a speaker.

RE: Vistar Corporation National Business Meeting
Thanks for spending time with the senior field and corporate leaders of Vistar Corporation at this year's National Business Meeting in Orlando. Your keynote address was a great start to what turned out to be a very productive and high energy meeting. I appreciate how you integrated what you had learned about Vistar into your subject matter.
Our group appreciated the content and passion of your speech, and the strength of your beliefs. You helped bring the bright lights and fame of your experience as a pro-bowl caliber professional football player into a set of values and behaviors we can apply to the world of specialty foodservice distribution every day.
In addition, I wanted to thank you for the "Q&A" session you provided after you had concluded the structured part of your presentation. You took every question, and answered each in a thoughtful and insightful way. Finally, I wanted to let you know that what I most appreciated was the amount of time you spent with our people after the event at our casino night. I've never seen a speaker spend that much time with any audience. Every person had a story to tell you about their memories of that time, their team, or something about their life. The fact that you spent an additional two hours signing autographs and talking to our people on a personal basis means a great deal to our team. On behalf of our senior leadership, our meeting planners, and the people who make Vistar the leaders in the markets we serve, thanks for everything.
Sincerely
Craig H. Hoskins, Executive Vice President, Vistar Specialty
RE: Main Street Securities Annual Meeting
On May 6th and 7th Main Street Securities held our Annual Sales Conference and Awards Banquet in Denver Colorado. We had the honor and privilege of having Karl Mecklenburg speak at our event on the morning of the 6th. We can truthfully say that the event would not have been as successful without having Karl part of it.
Karl did an excellent job of tying together his success on the football field with success in real life. He was motivational, sincere, humble and made an impact on everybody in attendance.
The thing that impressed us most about Karl was the way he conducted himself during the presentation. We were having problems with the sound system and at times Karl would have to stop speaking altogether because of the distraction. Although this was extremely frustrating and embarrassing to us as a firm, Karl handled it with great class and patience and we truly appreciated that.
Again we are so thankful that Karl Mecklenburg was part of our Annual Meeting. He played a huge part in making the event a success!
Sincerely, Bob Meckenstock & Brian A. Weimer

RE: Gallup Rotary Club Scholarship Banquet
Karl,
You did a superb job speaking at our 14th Annual Rotary Club of Gallup's Speaker's Banquet to benefit local scholarship efforts. All who attended can apply your six keys to success to our everyday lives to benefit us personally,....with family,.....in the workplace and dealing with challenges facing us through the course of our everyday lives.
Your professional presentation was effective as all in attendance could relate to what you had to say. You added that special personal touch as you shared stories and personal experiences with enthusiasm. And, you were great with our community.
With 450 guests in attendance to hear you at one of our largest attended banquets ever, you are a part of a great tradition of speakers who have addressed our community, including Lou Holtz, the late Tom Landry, Mike Ditka, Terry Bradshaw, Bill Walton, Joe Theismann, Tommy Lasorda, Bart Starr, Johnny Bench, Rocky Bleier, Brooks Robinson, Darryl "Moose" Johnston and Tom Flores.
You have all of the ideal characteristics of a true role model, Karl. I recommend you to any group interested in hearing the presentation of a tremendous human being.
Continued success and may God continue to bless you and your beautiful family.
Sincerely,
Sammy Chioda ROTARY CLUB OF GALLUP SPEAKER'S BANQUET Chair
Your presentation was the hit of our event! We recieved great feedback from our attendees about your down to earth demeanor, and strong while humorous message. Everyone really enjoyed getting to take snapshots with you and walking away with signed photos.
Karl Mecklenburg was the keynote speaker for the 5th Annual Coastal Bend FCA Champion's Banquet in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 8, 2005.
Karl was tremendous in his approach and presentation. He effectively used his experience in the game of football and applied those key principles and life lessons to our everyday life. His audience was captivated by his use of stories and personal experience.
Karl has an incredible way of taking simple lessons that we all "know" and showing us how to practically apply them in our lives for change.
Our banquet has had several keynote speakers in the past, but none have generated more post event conversation than Karl has, and all the feedback was positive and several even said that it really made them re-evaluate their lives.
I would highly recommend Karl Mecklenburg as a speaker for motivation and spiritual growth.
Sincerely, Ken Halcomb Area Director - Coastal Bend FCA

I just wanted to let you know that you exceeded the
expectations of the District with your presentation. You
have a tremendous talent for conveying your message
in a way that keeps everyone interested. Our audience
